• Dangerous

Easy access, anonymity, and affordability have made pornography attractive, but few realize the dangers.
Pornography affects not only the user but also the loved ones of the user.
  • Addictive

Studies show that brain function changes in someone who has an addiction– and the changes are the same with someone addicted to pornography. Because pornography use can become an actual addiction, viewers are not able to stop through their own will power.
  • Addiction Escalates

Addiction: You keep coming back to porn. It becomes a regular part of your life. You’re hooked and can’t quit.
Escalation: You start to look for more graphic pornography. You start using porn that disgusted you earlier, but is now enticing to you.
Desensitization: You begin feeling numb towards the images you see. Even the most graphic porn is no longer arousing. You become desperate to feel the same thrill again, but you can’t find it.
Acting out sexually: This is the point that you make a critical jump and start acting out the images you have seen and rehearsed in your mind.
  • Children Harmed

Average age of first Internet exposure to pornography: 11 years old
15-17 year olds having multiple hard-core exposures: 80%
8-16 year olds having viewed porn online: 90%
Nine out of 10 children aged between eight and 16 have viewed pornography on the Internet.
  • Easy to Access

U.S. pornography revenue: $13.3 billion per year
Pornographic websites: 4.2 million (12% of total websites)
    Pornographic pages: 420 million
Daily pornographic search engine requests: 68 million (25% of total search engine requests)
    Daily pornographic e-mails: 2.5 billion (8% of total e-mails)
Internet users who view pornography: 42.7%
  • Marriages Destroyed

There isn’t a more efficient way to make your wife feel betrayed, used, and violated than if you use pornography.
Pornography will ruin your marriage - guaranteed.
  • Fuels Sexual Offenses

The consumption of pornography can be directly linked to violence against women.

"I was on the verge of acting out these kinds of thoughts … and it happened in stages … you become addicted … I would keep looking for more explicit, more graphic kinds of materials … until you reach the point where the pornography only goes so far. You reach that jumping-off point where you begin to wonder if maybe actually doing it will give you that which is beyond just reading about it or looking at it.” - Ted Bundy (Serial Killer)

child abusePeople who view images of child sex abuse could lose their homes or pensions under new US-style laws being proposed by a powerful coalition of children’s charities demanding action from the British government. The act would force offenders to pay damages that would help their victims to pay for medical services, therapy, lost income and legal fees. John Carr, the coalition’s secretary, said a new law was urgently needed. Estimates suggest that pedophiles in the UK alone could be holding between 150 million and 360 million images of child abuse. “I think this could be a very effective. If guys know they could lose their house or their pension, they’ll think twice.”
