Disputes

And when He was in the house He asked them, “What was it you disputed among yourselves on the road?” But they kept silent, for on the road they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest. And HE sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be lsat of all and servant of all.” Mark 33-35

Jesus had told His disciples that he was about to die. Yet their focus was not with Him, but with themselves and their positions. Putting His finger on the nerve, he probed them on what occupied their hearts. Within their hearts there was no peace and harmony but a dispute, a revalry for positions. Then Jesus gave a verdict… a striving for a position is in God’s kingdom a disquilifier. God seeks out those, who faithfully feed His little lambs, and care for the weak ones of His flock.
