Then You Shall Not Be Moved

If you will return, O Israel’, says the LORD, Return to Me; and if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, then you shall not be moved. (Jer 4:1)

We live in a world where there is much motion. In every sphere of our life there is movement. However, during this lock-down nearly everything came to an abrupt standstill. Maybe it is also a good time to stand still and ponder on this text. God is calling his nation to return. He is calling them to return to Him. The God who created the Universe is calling you and me to Him. To reflect on our lives. To search your heart to see if it is clear of anything that is an abomination to Him.

Should you find any such thing, God promises us that if you do away with it, that you shall not be moved. Nothing in the Universe will be able to shake you, because your foundations have been laid upon Him, the Creator of the Universe.
