The Father’S Will

O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will (Matt 26:39)

This was the prayer of Jesus in Gethsemane on the evening before He was crucified. God’s only Son was pleading for this cup to pass, for within it was all the filth of the whole world. Within His total submission to His Father He rescued a lost world. Through His death, He paid our penalties in full. The full weight of our sin fell upon Him. He drank the cup till the last drop…

How then can anyone then be pardoned that neglect such a great salvation?
