Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)
Blessedness means undeserved favor. To gain God’s blessing we are to endure temptation. To overcome temptation, our rout of escape is to choose Him instead of sin. This choice of choosing Him rather than our sin, shows that we love Him. As our love for Him is being revealed we receive His approval and a crown of life. There is nothing more powerful than to call on His name, when we are tempted. There is nothing more powerful than His blood to forgive and to cleanse us from all sin.
