The Lord Takes Pleasure

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. (Psalm 147:11)

Our human nature strives for self-importance and strength. Within ancient combat, the strength of the legs of man was of great importance. Even the Mosai have their jump-sessions in which they compete. Yet God delights in none of these. His eyes are on those who fear Him and hope in His mercy. It is all about Him and not about us.
