Praise the Lord, o Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For HE has strengthened the bars of your gates… (Psalm 147:12-13)
Jerusalem symbolizes God’s universal church. It brings God’s people great joy when He strengthen the bars of our gates. When there is the temptation to look at pornography, and you find that God has strengthen the gates of your eyes to say “no!” When you are tempted to slander, and God has strengthen the gates of your mouth, and you speak something that bless others. When you hear the gossips of this world, and God has strengthen your gates, that filthy thoughts did not enter you heart, as God has strengthen your gates. If you find your own gates destroyed, He is the great restorer of all ages.
