I Will Fear No Evil

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. (Ps 23:4)

These words of David reveal his fearlessness. Although he might go through tough times, he will fear no evil. The cause behind his boldness is that he knew that God is with him, even though he faced danger. David was aware that the Shepherd’s rod and staff was close by, to protect him and to lead him through this valley. It was within these dark valleys that wild animals used to wait for them. However, greater than these wild animals are the great Shepherd, who knows His own.
