If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. (Luke 9:23, 34)
Within these words, Jesus instructs his followers regarding his requirements of discipleship. To find life, we must forsake it… if we fight for own own positions and things for ourselves, we will lose our life. However, should we give our ownership to ourselves to Him, we will find life in abundance.
