I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. (Ps 40:1-2)
Only those that love God are prepared to wait. For them it is more important to act with Him than to do many good things without Him. Sometimes He rescues immediately, like a quick prayer towards him in a time of great need or anxiety. Yet at other times we need to wait for Him to act and rescue us from a certain situation. In this also we learn about His sovereignty. This is what mercy is al about; undeserved grace. Such a salvation brings all glory to God.
