Yet, it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. (Is 53:10)
Jesus met up with God’s sovereignity. His will. Jesus bent under it and took up his cross. Actually it was our cross and He carried it on our behalf to Golgotha. When reaching the place, He exchanged with us and paid the eternal price for our souls. We did not ask Him to do it, yet He undertook. What wonderful love God has toward his children! Should all mankind not know about His great redemption work?
