Jesus Pleading

Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and returned to me again, strengthen your brothers. (Luke 22:31)

Jesus knows us well. He also perceives what is happening in the heavenly realm. In return, He pleads for his own. In His pleading for Simon, he also was thinking of the other disciples, so that Simon’s faith will endure and that he will also strengthen them. God usually bestows much on some, so as to equip and strengthen others.
