I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. (Psalms 89:1)
Within this portion, David a man after God’s own heart made this statement. God’s mercies towards him, created within him a deep thankfulness. He had found a secret in this life which he would like to pass on to all generations; God is merciful and He is faithful. David, not hiding anything from God found God not only a merciful God but also a faithful God. These words have strengthen many generation’s along the narrow road. David’s secret was to be honest and truthful about his sins with God, in this God revealed His mercy and faithfulness towards him. How wonderful to be able to knock on the door of God’s mercy, pointing out the things in our own lives that need to be cleansed and changed.
