Let no man despise your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Tim 4:11-12)
There are many cases where a youth has led an older person to God. In God’s kingdom, there is place for youth. Think of the shepherd boy David. When Samuel was sent to anoint the next king, God did not approve of any of David’s older brothers. God chose David. The same happened in Sameul’s life. God accepted Samuel as His servant but rejected Eli as his priest. Within this portion Paul charges Timothy to be an example, in other words to set an example in the words he speaks, in his conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity. Should the youth of today follow these words of Paul to Timothy, they will shake all hell through their righteous conduct and win many for Christ.
