The Highway

The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; He who keeps his way preserves his soul. (Prov 16:17)

Thought for Today: 5 July 2020

One can’t really go lost on a highway. It is straight and leveled up. The highway of the righteous is to depart from evil. If you become aware of an evil in your life, – then depart from it. You don’t need to give a few days notice to the enemy of your soul. You can depart right now. If one departs from something one turns ones back on it, and heads the other way. By continuing to turn your back on evil things, and heading the other way, you will be safe on the highway of righteousness, and thereby preserve your soul. If you struggle to turn your back on wrongful things, cry to God. Place Him before you. He is able to to help you.
