Why Do You Trouble The Woman?

But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. Four you have th poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. Asuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” (Mat 26:10-13)

This portion Jesus revealed his heart for those who love him. Those that love Him usually trouble those around them. As they do good to others, some will critisize and evaluate their work for the Master. Yet, Jesus smelled the fragrant oil poured on his feet… the aroma went up to Him, and he found this deed plesent. He recommended her in the midst of her enemies. He counted her worthy. Oh how we may seek to please our Master with the fragrance of our life. Let us spill and be spilled out for Him… anointing Him King over all our life!
