He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he has given will he pay him again. (Prov 19:17)
God requires from us to care for one another. If there is a poor brother or sister in our midst, we need to give. This does not only imply finances, but our time, patience, forgiveness. Freely we have received and freely we should give. With the same measure we measure, it will be measured towards us.
