Our modern day world revolves around the self and my own comfort. It is the survival of the fittest, blame game. A walk on others to get to the top. Yet, God will not have it so. He blesses the one that considers the poor. This does not just imply the one that does not have any money. It could be the one you consider poor in spirit. The very one you may look down to, because he/she is not so spiritually advanced. Yet, caring for the least in your midst, brings a blessing with a promise. It is a promise of God’s protection in the day of trouble.
