I have streched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, Acording to their own thoughts; a people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face (Isaiah 65:2-3)

Within these words, we learn something of God’s heart. He the High King is stretching out His hand towards us… all day long. It should have been the other way around, we stretching out our hand towards Him for help. We waiting on Him for an answer. Yet within these sad words, we hear of people who do not wait on Him, but do their own thing – a rebellious lot, who provoke Him with their actions. While His heart is to gather, in open rebellion they keep on rebelling. Yet in His grace he acted as High priest and saved by his own blood the murderer on the cross next to Him who called on Him for mercy.
