God’S Scales

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities. O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. (read Ps 130)

It is within our human nature to judge others. Usually the scales with which we measure are more strict on others than ourselves. In addition, also the things bothering us in others, are very often found within ourselves. Yet, the true and faithfull Witness is there. The One who knows us and our deeds. Remarkable that we can find grace and mercy within Him. Look at His hands and side… you will find the markings of our punishment He took on Himself.
